Dr. Ayşenaz Öztürk completed her undergraduate studies at TOBB University of Economics and Technology Faculty of Law, where she was awarded an entrance scholarship. She subsequently obtained her LL.M. in International Commercial Law from the University of Nottingham. During this period, she also worked as a research assistant in academic projects conducted at the University.
Following her summer internships at leading law firms in Istanbul during her undergraduate studies, Dr. Öztürk completed her legal internship at a top-tier law firm in Ankara, where she qualified and practiced as an attorney, focusing on corporate and commercial law, project finance, and arbitration.
She later turned to academia and worked as a researcher at the legal studies center of the Economic Policy Research Foundation of Turkey (TEPAV). During this period, she was admitted on a full scholarship to the PhD program in Private Law at Bilkent University Faculty of Law.
Throughout her doctoral studies, Dr. Öztürk served as a research assistant at the Department of Private International Law at Bilkent University, where she conducted research and teaching activities in the fields of international arbitration and private international law, and had the opportunity to assist leading scholars in the field.
Dr. Öztürk currently teaches as a guest lecturer at Middle East Technical University (METU), where she delivers the course “Selected Topics in International Law” to International Relations students, and provides legal consultancy services to multinational companies, particularly in corporate and commercial law matters, including assisting in arbitration proceedings.
